Belvèze is situated in the Tarn et Garonne just a few kilometres from the border with the department of the Lot in the south of the region known as Quercy. The village has the classification of “Village Fleuri” and at certain times of the year the whole area is covered with fields of sunflowers. There is no shortage of activities and days out. Lauzerte (11kms) is one of the “Plus beaux villages de France” with other Medieval villages to visit such as Montaigu de Quercy (7kms) and Montcuq (13kms). Puy l'Evêque (25kms) and Luzech (27kms) are on the river Lot where you can hire canoes and swim. Cahors(40kms), situated on the meander of the river Lot with its famous Pont Valentré, has a Medieval centre to explore and outdoor weekend markets as well as music and theatre festivals throughout the summer months. It is the centre of the Cahors wine region and there are plenty of opportunities to sample the produce along with the other gastronomic specialities of the region. The holiday home is located in what was a large working farm built of white limestone in the typical style of the region. It is spacious and though the owners live in another part of the farm the accommodation is completely private. You can sit under a parasol on the terrace in the sun and look out over the 1.5 hectare garden, play boules, swim or play ping-pong and table-football in the games room. There is something for everyone!
