The beautiful Sophienlyst Castle presents a white ornamented facade, decorated with gold leaf and curved gables. The buildings are dominated by large mullioned windows, which bathe all the rooms of the castle in a wonderful light.
When you open the front door, you enter the impressive 2-story hall. From here you enter the 120 m² Knights' Hall with exposed beams, surrounded on 3 sides by large windows. The Knight's Hall can accommodate up to 34 guests. There is also an activity area with billiards. Right next to it is the small, but still well-equipped, professional kitchen.
You will find a banquet hall with room for 115 people, a dining room with room for 25 people and a conference room with room for 15 people.
On the second floor, the large living room invites you to enjoy the view of the fjord. The "master bedroom" is also located on the second floor, and there are also 10 bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. All rooms are decorated with great attention to detail, and every guest will feel like a king or queen when they enter their chambers. Throughout the house you can use the fast internet connection.
A glass studio leads you to one of Sophienlyst's main attractions, a 225 m² oasis with seating and an impressive 124 m² swimming pool. The bathing area is flanked by 32 Byzantine columns. There is also a beautiful whirlpool for 6 people. Under an island in the pool, connected to the "mainland" by a bridge, there is a grotto.
This vacation paradise is located in a varied landscape, in the middle of a nature reserve with forests and lakes, on a 7,000 m² park-like property. The area extends to the Gamborg Fjord, surrounded by green meadows, small forests, hedges and a hilly, lush landscape and a bird sanctuary.
