About 7 km from Arezzo: Two original vacation apartments (see also ITA117) with large pool and wide view over the Chiana valley. The two tastefully furnished vacation apartments have been created in the rural outbuilding of a venerable Tuscan villa. Each apartment has its own garden area with seating area and barbecue on the large park-like property. Especially the large, circular pool is a dream! From the sun terraces you can enjoy a wide view over the valley. From here you can reach in no time the ancient Etruscan cities of Arezzo and Cortona (18 km) with their famous museums and churches in the picturesque old town, which invites you to stroll and have an aperitivo in the piazza. For a day trip to Florence (70 km) and Rome (200 km), the convenient train connections from Arezzo are also recommended. Lake Trasimeno with its sandy beaches and romantic islets can be reached in less than half an hour (30 km).

    “We kregen een heel hartelijke ontvangst met wijn, kaas en wordt. Het terrein en de tuin zijn ruim opgezet, mooi en goed onderhouden, met eigen fruitbomen waar je van mag plukken. Je hebt er vrij veel privacy. De eigenaren wonen op het terrein, maar die laten je vooral met rust. Eén van de (grote en overdekte) zitgelegenheden was compleet voor onze groep; ook een BBQ was apart voor ons gereserveerd, afgeschermd door een haag. Het zwembad was erg groot (leuk voor onze jongens van 7 en 9 jaar, die er zelfs met een opblaasboot in konden) en werd elke avond schoongemaakt. Er waren meer dan genoeg ligstoelen en tafeltjes met stoelen en parasols. De slaapkamers waren vrij ruim. De keuken was goed uitgerust (normaal neem ik een tas mee met keukenspullen, zoals een kaasschaaf, schaar, broodmes etc. maar dat was niet nodig). Beddengoed, handdoeken, theedoeken waren allemaal netjes en schoon. Een goede wasmachine was beschikbaar en je had een eigen, groot verrijdbaar rek om de was aan op te hangen. Prima parkeerplekken in wat schaduw. Enige wat we aanraden, is zelf muskietennetten mee te nemen in juli.”
